In winter, the weather is getting cold. Everything begins closing, the sun is latent, the Yin is very strong, the vegetation is dead, and the insects are dormant. Therefore, the winter health does not disturb the Yang qi. We should go to bed early and get up late and pay attention to eat tonic food.
In winter, the body needs more heat to maintain temperature and easily to catch cold. Therefore, it is necessary for us to choose warm and nourishing food in winter. We can eat some meat such as mutton, beef, chicken, shrimp, etc. The suitable vegetables include carrot, shallot, garlic, canola, coriander, etc. Fruit mainly suggest to have orange, grapefruit, chestnut, etc.
In addition, during the cold winter, it is best to eat some warm porridge, such as longan porridge, corn porridge, glutinous rice porridge, mixed porridge, etc.
